Sheets of corrugated board are “converted” on appropriate machines to produce packaging in a very wide range of shapes and sizes. Over 100 practical basic designs are available and can be infinitely varied as needed. This wide variety means that any packaging problem can be resolved to suit logistical requirements.
The European umbrella organisation for the corrugated board industry (FEFCO) have developed an “International Fibreboard Casecode” that shows the most common forms of corrugated packaging arranged in a simple system.
